Mr. Alex Zhao was born and educated in the PRC. He qualified as a PRC lawyer in 2007. He previously practiced in Beijing, specializing in civil and commercial laws, as well as intellectual property law. He moved to Hong Kong in 2013 and became a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong. Since then, He has handled various major cross-border transactions, litigation and arbitration involving mainland Chinese companies. Mr. Zhao joined Messrs. Hon & Co. as Registered Foreign Lawyer in 2017.

Mr. Zhao holds an LL.B. degree awarded by Wuhan University. He also obtained MBA degree from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. He is currently the managing partner of BEIJING WANGZI LAW FIRM. Mr. Alex Zhao also is a registered accountant in the PRC.

Mr. Alex Zhao’s major areas of practice are Cross-border Investment and Commercial Transaction, as well as relevant Litigation and Intellectual Properties related matters.
